Project Overview
Patriot Pass is a head-to-head fast paced arcade game where players control George Mason University characters in a unique frisbee tournament who have special abilities. Join the tournament as, Gary M. Unger, an ex-frisbee player now turned campus police who is making a comeback in the frisbee scene, Shipstar, a special robot that was accustomed to delivering food for students now modded out to compete in the tournament, Professor D. fan favorite of GMU students and beloved teacher Professor D. is here to remind students who taught them to play frisbee, or as Sarah, a smart student with the skills to build a robot to help her in the competition.
My Contributions
As for gameplay contributions, I added the three bar system. This system is similar to that of a fighting game's super meter. In terms of level design, I conceptualized the Starship robot: one of the four playable characters. As for level design, I designed the teleporter level: one of the two playable levels.

QA/Bug Testing

This is a video of a bug in the Alpha 0.5.4. build of the game. This is part of a larger playlist that I made for a few bugs that required a visual guide.

Character Design

I created the following traits for the Starship playable character:

  • Movement Speed
  • Thrown Strength
  • 1, 2, & 3 Bar Special

Level Design

I designed the second playable level: the teleporter level. The main gimmick of the stage involves the four circular screens at the corner of the map. When a frisbee interactions with one, it teleports to the opposite side of the map.
